Fantasy Adventure Series Books On Kindle Unlimited

Your Kids Love Fantasy Adventures.

They’ve read all the Narnia books. They’ve read all the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books. And depending on your stance on them, maybe they have read all the Harry Potter books, too. All those “popular” fantasy series? Been there, read that! Maybe more than once. And they want more because they’re getting bored or re-reading their favorites. If you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, you are in luck! There are tons of fantasy adventure series for kids on there. And since you already have Kindle Unlimited, there’s no extra cost to read these books!

This article contains affiliate links. This means if you click on a link and buy something, we might get a very small commission, but that it no way changes your price or obligates you to anything. If you would rather not click on the affiliate links, you can always do a search on Amazon for the book titles. Either way, I am just glad you are here reading this list and hope you are getting some value out of it! Thank you for your support! Read our full disclosures page here.

But I Don’t Have Kindle Unlimited!

Now, if you don’t have a Kindle Unlimited Membership, that doesn’t mean you are out of luck here. These Kindle books are available to purchase as well, most of them at a very low cost per book, many less than $5, some as low as .99. So, it actually might make sense to not have Kindle Unlimited, if you and your child(ren) are only going to read 1 or 2 books per month. But if you are interested in Kindle Unlimited, you can try a month for free. That’s up to you. You have options. I have had a Kindle Unlimited subscription for a while now, and I love how I can read as many books as I want, especially when I find books I don’t like, LOL. I can just return it and try something else, and not even feel disgusted because it cost me nothing extra – except for maybe a little bit of time!

But I don’t like e-books!

Sigh. But they’re so convenient and often so much cheaper and more environmentally friendly and… Okay, okay! If you’re a paper purist and you think e-books are the worst, many of these have physical book versions you can buy. One of my favorite things about Amazon is the third party storefronts selling used books. I’ve bought a lot of used books on Amazon and I have very few complaints. But buying a new book at a good price is a treat, as well. Ah, new book smell! So, I can appreciate your wanting to read off of a paper book! Some of these books are only available as an e-book, but I will do my best to indicate PC for all the ones you can buy a physical copy! Some even have an audiobook, and I’ve labeled those with AB.

But I don’t have a Kindle!

Yes, it’s super nice to have a Kindle to read ebooks. They are portable and fun! Kindle Fires are cheap and have a lot of other functionality (music, video, pictures, apps, going on the web, etc). The black and white Kindle e-readers are slightly more expensive, but much easier on the eyes and have a much longer battery life. Kindle Paperwhite is the most like reading a physical book, and one of these days I will fork over the money for one because I definitely want to!

BUT you don’t need a Kindle to read Kindle books! I read Kindle books on my laptop (especially cookbooks with pictures) and on my smartphone all the time. You just need a simple app for your phone or Android tablet or iPad, or you can read straight from the cloud or a computer app on your computer/laptop.

BIG Disclaimer for Parents

I did not read all of these books. That would be almost impossible for me to do in the time I have. I tried to vet them out to the best of my ability and find out the reading level/age appropriateness when I could. I am not responsible for the material in these books, since I did not write them, and it is up to you what kind of books you allow your kids to read. It is up to you to decide if your kids are allowed to read books about magic or witches or warlocks or any of that fantasy fare. I did my best and spent a very long time compiling this (not in any way exhaustive!) list, but if there is any book you feel is not appropriate (for example, contains mature content), drop a comment down below, or email me at melinda@pileofpates.com and I will look into it and remove any inappropriate books ASAP!

Diary of Steve the Noob – Books 1 through 32 by Steve the Noob, Ages 6+ (usually). Seriously, there are 32 books. All Kindle Unlimited. For your convenience, I’m putting links to all of them because they usually don’t come up in chronological order in the Amazon search. The age levels on these books are very inconsistent. Most say 6+, with an occasional 7+, and then some say 0+, which is ridiculous, but then again, so is the author’s name (ridiculous, that is). But starting at Book 29 up through 32, it says 9+, so be aware of that.

So, there it is. Some Sci-Fi might have snuck in there. But that should keep your kids busy for awhile, LOL! This list is in no way exhaustive. There are truly thousands of books that might meet the “Fantasy Adventure Books for Kids” criteria. But I tried to stick to series that were at least mostly available on Kindle Unlimited and that seemed family friendly. If you notice any errors, feel free to comment below or email me at melinda@pileofpates.com

Do you know of any Kindle Unlimited book series that you think should be added to this list? Comment below!
